Baby boy abandoned in front of orphanage

KUALA LUMPUR: A newborn baby boy was found abandoned near the gate of Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (Ractar) in Subang Jaya, today.
Subang Jaya police chief ACP Mohammad Azlin Sadari said the baby was found by three women at the gate at 1.05pm as they were going to the orphanage to send essentials.
"The baby was in good condition and no injuries were found on him. He was brought to Shah Alam Hospital for further examination," he said in a statement.
Mohammad Azlin urged those with information on the case to contact the nearest police station.
The case is being investigated under Section 317 of the Penal Code for concealing birth with the intent to abandon the baby. — Bernama
