Eco-friendly stays with Daikin at ibis

DAIKIN Malaysia recently “unveiled” the new kid on the block – ibis Styles Kota Kinabalu Inanam Hotel, Sabah. The contemporary-looking structure comes with the “Daikin Eco Building” certificate, presented during the soft launch of the hotel.
ibis Styles Kota Kinabalu adopts Daikin’s VRV IV air-conditioning system, which in its application, provides guests with a comfortable and cool stay, minimally impacting the environment.
At the soft launch, Daikin Industries Ltd technical engineering manager of global operations Noriaki Iwamoto (pix, centre in blue jacket) said a few words after presenting the certificate to Inanam Properties managing director Ong Hock Lai.
“We hope that with this partnership, more people will begin to realise the importance of adopting more energy-saving technology in the running of their businesses and everyday lives, as Daikin looks towards to providing higher quality air conditioning to all customers, while at the same time decreasing the overall energy consumption and innovating on green technology for the long-term benefit of the environment.”
The new hotel blends modern and country design for a “rustic chic” profile carried throughout its interiors as well as its facade.
