MACC chief: 3 parties wanted me to stand in GE14

PETALING JAYA: MACC chief Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull (pix) said three parties offered him a seat to contest in the 14th General Election.
However, he rejected them as he doesn't consider himself a politician.
"Before the elections, there were representatives from PAS, PKR and Bersatu who asked me to be their candidate," he told Sinar Harian.
"I rejected it because I do not support any party. I am not a politician and I don't know how to be one. I am just a lowly fighter.
A ministership was dangled as a carrot but he wasn't interested in such positions, Mohd Shukri said.
"I want to be neutral. Without bias. Let me carry out my struggle," he said.
