MyCC appoints Iskandar Ismail as new CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) has appointed Iskandar Ismail (pix) as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective Oct 15.
In a statement today, MyCC said Iskandar was appointed by Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Iskandar was previously MyCC's Director of Investigation and Enforcement Division and had acted as the CEO for six months following the retirement of the former CEO, Datuk Abu Samah Shabudin, on April 16.
As the Director of the Investigation and Enforcement Division, he had led and managed the investigation of many of MyCC's landmark cases involving companies such as Malaysian Airline System Bhd and AirAsia Bhd, Container Depot Operators in Penang, MyEG Services Bhd, the General Insurance Association of Malaysia (PIAM) and Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd. — Bernama
