PETALING JAYA: A group of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) today gathered in front of Metrowealth Pictures office to demand that its chief executive officer Datuk David Teo make a public apology over the fracas at a function attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday.
Spokesperson of the group Major (R) Razali Zakaria said Teo had disrespected Najib by causing a disturbance, adding that such incident at an official function had never happened before.
He also congratulated actor-cum-comedian Sulaiman Yassin, popularly known as Mat Over, for taking a bold and swift action in slapping Teo to avoid the incident from escalating further.
"We want Teo to give his explanation for his rudeness during the programme which was attended by the prime minister yesterday," he said told a press conference in front of Metrowealth office.
