Puspanita donates RM268,000 to HSA under 'Ziarah Kebajikan' programme

JOHOR BARU: Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) today received donation of RM268,000 from the National Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (Puspanita) under its "Ziarah Kebajikan Puspanita" programme.
The donation comprises medical and non-medical equipment for the intensive are unit (ICU), Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Timur 3 (Obstettric) Ward.
The donation was presented by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, who is Puspanita Adviser, to Johor Health director Dr Rooshaimi Merican A.Rahim Merican.
Also present was Puspanita president Puan Sri Rohani Abdullah.
In his speech, Ali said the "Ziarah Kebajikan Puspanita" programme kicked off in 2014 with donations given to target group or government agency providing public services, such as hospital, school and welfare home.
He said the move was in line with Puspanita's effort to popularise the association by reaching out to the members, the community and the people at the grass roots.
At separate event, Ali also presented Puspanita's donation of RM26,000 to Temenggong Ibrahim campus of Institutes of Teachers Education (IPG); RM2,000 to Johor Orphans Welfare Home; RM2,000 to Impian Syimah Care Centre; RM12,000 to 21 Puspanita members suffering from chronic diseases; and RM2,000 to Johor Puspanita. — Bernama
