Second UST Global facility opens in Penang

GEORGE TOWN: IT and engineering solutions provider UST Global Malaysia has opened a new facility in Penang.

Country Head Amar Chhajer said the second facility will cater to the needs of customers who wanted specialised and customised services.

He said the company was targeting to take on board 1,000 more employees over the next three years to meet growing demand.

"Our goal in this expansion is to create a work place that not only engages employees but also helps to improve the operational inefficiencies," he said during a press conference after the opening ceremony which was attended by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.

UST Global began operations in 2006 and has since grown to employ 900 personnel nationwide.

The company provides engineering and IT solutions including IC design, lab management, cyber security, cloud technology and infrastructure services.
