JPJ keluar 169 notis saman, sita 7 lori bawa muatan lebih

NIBONG TEBAL: Sebanyak 169 notis saman dikeluarkan Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) ke atas pemandu kenderaan termasuk kenderaan perdagangan atas pelbagai kesalahan dalam operasi khas di Valdor, di sini semalam.

JPJ dalam kenyataan hari ini berkata operasi selama empat jam yang berakhir 1.30 tengah hari itu dijalankan oleh Unit Operasi JPJ Negeri Pulau Pinang Stesen Penguatkuasa Valdor bersama Penguatkuasaan Trafik (JSPT) Daerah Seberang Perai Selatan, Agensi Anti Dadah Kebangsaan (AADK) dan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM), dengan memfokuskan kepada kenderaan perdagangan yang membawa muatan melebihi had serta kesalahan teknikal.

“Dalam operasi itu, tujuh buah kenderaan barangan turut diambil tindakan sita kerana membawa lebih muatan di bawah Seksyen 57(1) (b) (iv) Akta Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD) 2010 dan kesalahan di bawah Kaedah 89 MV (C&U) 1959,“ menurut kenyataan itu.

Menurut JPJ antara kesalahan lain yang dikesan adalah tiada lesen memandu termasuk lesen memandu kenderaan barangan, tiada perlindungan insurans, tayar haus berlebihan dan mengubah suai kenderaan.

Selain itu dalam operasi sama sebanyak 19 notis saman turut dikeluarkan JSPT manakala AADK mengesan satu kes positif dadah hasil saringan awal air kencing.

“Penguatkuasaan secara konsisten dan berfokus terhadap kenderaan barangan akan terus dilaksanakan JPJ bagi memastikan pemandu dan pengusaha kenderaan perdagangan mematuhi peraturan serta undang-undang, di samping memastikan kenderaan tersebut selamat untuk digunakan di atas jalan raya,“ menurut kenyataan itu.

Sementara itu, dalam operasi berasingan di Jalan Padang Lalang, Bukit Mertajam, sebanyak 84 notis saman dikeluarkan Unit Falcon JPJ Negeri Pulau Pinang ke atas pemandu kenderaan dan penunggang motosikal kerana membuat pusingan U di tempat yang tidak dibenarkan. –Bernama
