Polis Johor tumpas sindiket dadah, rampasan RM2.07 juta di rumah teres

Polis Johor serbu rumah teres jadi stor dadah, tahan 5 lelaki dan rampas dadah pelbagai jenis bernilai RM1.45 juta serta sitaan harta.

JOHOR BAHRU: Polis Johor menumpaskan sebuah sindiket pengedaran dadah yang dipercayai aktif sejak Ogos tahun lepas.

Serbuan dilakukan ke sebuah rumah teres setingkat di Taman Bukit Indah pada 9 Januari lalu.

Ketua Polis Johor Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad berkata serbuan itu merampas pelbagai jenis dadah seberat 21.75 kilogram.

Nilai pasaran dadah yang dirampas dianggarkan RM1.45 juta.

Polis menahan lima lelaki tempatan berusia antara 43 hingga 53 tahun yang dipercayai terlibat dalam aktiviti sindiket itu.

“Suspek pertama berperanan sebagai ketua manakala yang lain ahli sindiket,” katanya dalam sidang media di Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Johor.

Mereka didakwa menjadikan rumah teres itu sebagai tempat penyimpanan dadah sebelum diedarkan.

Dadah yang dirampas termasuk syabu, serbuk MDMA, pil ekstasi, ketamin, ganja dan pil Yaba.

Polis turut merampas pelbagai peralatan menghisap serta pembungkusan semula dadah.

Jumlah dadah itu dianggarkan mampu merosakkan 98,203 orang.

Siasatan dijalankan mengikut Seksyen 39B Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952.

Semua suspek didapati positif dadah methamphetamine dan direman sehingga 16 Januari.

Semakan rekod jenayah mendapati empat suspek mempunyai rekod berkaitan jenayah dan dadah.

Polis turut mengambil tindakan di bawah Akta Dadah Berbahaya (Pelucuthakan Harta) 1988.

Jumlah sitaan harta bernilai RM616,010 melibatkan enam kereta, dua motosikal, wang tunai dan cincin emas.

Nilai keseluruhan rampasan dadah dan sitaan harta mencecah RM2.07 juta.

Ab Rahaman berkata kejayaan operasi itu adalah hasil risikan berterusan serta kerjasama orang awam.

Beliau menegaskan pihaknya tidak akan berkompromi dengan mereka yang terlibat dalam pengedaran dadah.
