Avanade launches agentic AI platform, regional AI modernisation hub in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR: Global professional services company Avanade has announced two major investments to help midmarket organisations across Asia-Pacific adopt artificial intelligence at scale, including a new regional AI modernisation hub in Kuala Lumpur and a purpose-built agentic platform designed to deliver measurable business results.

The company unveiled the Avanade Agentic Platform alongside the Asia Pacific (APAC) AI modernisation hub at The Exchange 106 in TRX.

Both initiatives are built on Microsoft technologies and aim to move organisations beyond AI experimentation towards real deployments that boost productivity and operational efficiency.

Avanade president (Asia-Pacific) Bhavya Kapoor said many midmarket companies are ready for AI but lack practical tools and execution support.

“These companies need solutions they can deploy quickly, not endless pilots. With our AI Platform and new Modernisation Hub in Malaysia, we are giving them the ecosystem, expertise and scale needed to transform operations and deliver real value,” he said.

The Avanade Agentic Platform offers a library of pre-built industry agents and templates that plug into Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure Foundry.

These agents automate tasks, unlock insights and support responsible, human-centred AI use while keeping people in control.

The APAC AI Modernisation Hub will house more than 100 AI and Microsoft specialists to help organisations update legacy systems and become AI-ready.

The hub provides sector-specific solutions for financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, retail and consumer goods, along with end-to-end services covering data, cloud and security modernisation.

It also includes an AI Co-Innovation Lab for rapid prototyping and testing.

Microsoft Asia corporate vice president (small, medium and corporate) Rachel Bondi said the launch reflects rising demand for practical AI adoption across the region.

“By bringing together Microsoft’s AI capabilities with Avanade’s industry expertise, we are empowering organisations to innovate at speed, scale responsibly and achieve measurable results,” she said.

Both the Avanade Agentic Platform and the APAC AI Modernisation Hub are now available to support Malaysian organisations at every stage of their AI transformation.
