KUALA LUMPUR: Generator rental services provider, Express Powerr Solutions (M) Bhd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Express Mission Sdn Bhd, has accepted 3
Letters of Award (LoA) totalling RM8.3 million for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of generator sets for a major public transportation project in Sarawak.

The contracts were awarded by several Malaysian contractors involved in the
construction of infrastructure and related works at the Project site.

Express Powerr will supply 21 generator sets, with all contracts scheduled for completion by December 31, 2026.

Managing director Lim Cheng Ten said this marks the group’s first entry into Sarawak and represents a significant milestone in its geographic expansion.

“Sarawak offers strong long-term potential, supported by sustained infrastructure development and strong public sector investment.

“This project builds on our East Malaysia expansion following our entry into Sabah in 2024. It demonstrates our capability to support large-scale infrastructure works across different operating environments, while broadening our customer base beyond
Peninsular Malaysia.

“Sarawak Budget 2026 includes substantial allocations to strengthen public
transportation infrastructure, such as the Kuching Urban Transportation System and the Autonomous Rapid Transit.

“This created continued demand for reliable temporary power solutions, creating a supportive market environment for our services.

“With our extensive fleet of mobile and canopy generators, we are well-positioned to support infrastructure and construction projects across the state. These contracts are expected to contribute positively to our future earnings and establish Sarawak as a growth market within our broader expansion strategy,” he said in a statement.

To recap, Express Powerr was listed on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market on September 24, 2025.
