Masih ramai belum tebus baucar buku, tarikh akhir 31 Dis – Zambry

MANJUNG: Hanya kira-kira 235,000 daripada lebih 1 juta pelajar di institusi pengajian tinggi (IPT) seluruh negara telah menebus inisiatif baucar buku bernilai RM100 bagi fasa kedua.

Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir berkata menerusi semakan di portal MySISWAPLACE, jumlah itu dilihat masih rendah.

Sehubungan itu, beliau berharap penuntut yang masih belum menebus baucar buku berkenaan agar berbuat demikian sebelum tarikh akhir penebusan pada 31 Dis ini.

“Mereka hanya ada lebih kurang sebulan sahaja lagi untuk lakukan penebusan dan saya juga telah minta semua universiti melalui Naib Canselor termasuk Ketua Pengarah Pendidikan Tinggi untuk memaklumkan tentang perkara ini.

“Penebusan ini termasuk untuk penuntut di IPT swasta dan adalah amat malang serta satu kerugian kepada pelajar jika mereka tidak mengambil peluang ini,” katanya dalam sidang media selepas Program ‘In Person With Doc Zam@Lumut’ dan Pelancaran Inisiatif Siswa Aspirasi Rakyat Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (Sasar KPT) di sini hari ini.

Pada 30 Mei lepas, Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim mengumumkan pemberian baucar pembelian buku berjumlah RM100 kepada pelajar IPT semasa perasmian Pesta Buku Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur 2024.

Sementara itu, Zambry berkata Sasar KPT adalah inisiatif yang memperkenalkan tiga domain berimpak tinggi iaitu University-Community Social Enterprise (UCSE), Bakti MADANI dan Inspirasi Varsiti.

Beliau berkata pelaksanaan inisiatif itu melibatkan universiti awam, IPT swasta, politeknik, pelajar sekolah serta komuniti setempat.

“Dengan tema ‘Pemerkasaan Mahasiwa Ke Arah Pembangunan Komuniti’, inisiatif ini dilaksanakan secara bersasar ke arah memperkasakan rakyat sekali gus melahirkan siswa yang mampu menguasai intelek manusiawi berwatak glokal dalam menjuarai isu rakyat,” katanya.
