JKNK: 2,790 kes denggi di Kelantan direkodkan tahun lepas

KOTA BHARU: Sebanyak 2,790 kes denggi dilaporkan di Kelantan pada 2023 iaitu peningkatan kes sebanyak 127.4 peratus berbanding 1,227 kes pada 2022.

Pengarah Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Kelantan (JKNK) Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin berkata bagaimanapun, jumlah kematian akibat denggi menurun kepada dua orang pada 2023 berbanding empat mangsa pada tahun sebelumnya.

Beliau berkata daripada jumlah yang direkodkan, JKNK mendapati kes-kes denggi pada 2023 sebenarnya juga lebih rendah berbanding ketika pandemik COVID-19 iaitu 3,874 pada 2020 dan 6,003 kes pada 2019.

“JKNK telah menjalankan aktiviti kawalan dan pencegahan untuk semua kes dan wabak denggi yang dilaporkan bagi memutuskan rantaian jangkitan termasuk pemeriksaan premis, semburan kabus, penghapusan tempat pembiakan dan pendidikan kesihatan.

“Setakat 30 Dis 2023, sejumlah 597,199 premis telah diperiksa tempat pembiakan aedes dan 2,480 kompaun di bawah Akta Pemusnahan Serangga Pembawa Penyakit (APSPP) 1975 [Akta 154] dengan nilai RM1.24 juta telah dikeluarkan kepada pemilik premis yang terlibat,“ katanya dalam satu kenyataan hari ini.

Beliau berkata terdapat 215 wabak denggi berlaku di Kelantan pada 2023 berbanding hanya 59 wabak pada 2022.

“JKNK menyeru orang ramai untuk bersama-sama mengambil tanggungjawab bagi membendung penyakit denggi di negeri ini dengan bersama-sama memikul tanggungjawab serta bekerjasama membersihkan kawasan persekitaran rumah dan tempat kerja terutamanya di tempat-tempat yang pernah dinaiki air semasa banjir baru-baru ini,” katanya. –Bernama
