Letupan bom Sungai Golok: Penduduk Rantau Panjang sudah lali bunyi letupan, tembakan

KOTA BHARU: Penduduk sekitar Rantau Panjang sudah lali dengan bunyi letupan di sempadan Sungai Golok memandangkan kejadian itu kerap berlaku dalam setahun, kata Penghulu Mukim Lubok Gong, Rantau Panjang Syed Abu Bakar Syed Mat Nor.

Syed Abu Bakar berkata dalam kejadian terbaharu letupan didengari pada 1.30 pagi waktu Malaysia dan waktu di Thailand pada 12 tengah malam.

“Saya baru pulang selepas menghadiri majlis berdekatan dengan rumah dan dengar bunyi letupan kuat disusuli beberapa das tembakan dalam masa empat hingga enam minit.

“Bagi penduduk Rantau Panjang, kami sudah lali dan dapat bezakan sama ada bunyi bom, letupan, tembakan atau mercun,“ katanya kepada Bernama hari ini.

Beliau berkata kejadian berkenaan yang pertama berlaku tahun ini dan kali terakhir letupan didengari pada Julai lepas di stor penyimpanan di Pekan Mundok, selatan Thailand.

Syed Abu Bakar berkata penduduk kampung yang menetap di kawasan berhampiran tidak pernah melarikan diri apabila terdengar bunyi bom, letupan atau tembakan kerana tahu ia berlaku di selatan Thailand.

Kejadian berkenaan menyebabkan berlaku sedikit gegaran di kawasan Gual To’ Deh, Rantau Panjang, kata beliau.

Sementara itu, pekerja kilang perabot di Kuala Siral, daerah Sungai Golok, Wilayah Narathiwat, Thailand Mohamad Zuki, 45, berkata letupan berkenaan berlaku dekat dengan rumahnya iaitu kira-kira lima kilometer.

“Kejadian ini menyebabkan pihak berkuasa Thailand membuat rondaan secara jalan kaki. Kami dapati seawal pagi tadi laluan masuk ke Sungai Golok dan Mundok sudah ditutup,“ katanya.

Hari ini, Polis Diraja Malaysia mempertingkatkan kawalan keselamatan di sempadan Malaysia-Thailand susulan insiden letupan bom dan bunyi tembakan yang dipercayai berlaku di kawasan Gualosira, Pasemas Daerah Sungai Golok, Wilayah Narathiwat awal hari ini.

Kejadian itu turut menyebabkan empat anggota keselamatan Thailand cedera.
