Pegawai polis terima 19 jahitan akibat cedera ketika Op Tapis

KUANTAN: Seorang pegawai polis yang bertugas di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Jerantut menerima 19 jahitan selepas cedera di bahagian muka akibat terjatuh ketika hendak menahan suspek semasa Op Tapis Khas Isnin lepas.

Ketua Polis Pahang Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman berkata pada kejadian kira-kira 8 malam itu, Insp Awang Ridhuan Awang Jamaluddin, 34, telah menahan sebuah kereta jenis Proton Persona dipandu seorang lelaki di Bandar Pusat Jengka.

Beliau berkata semasa mangsa hendak menjalankan pemeriksaan, suspek telah memecut kenderaan terbabit menghala ke Temerloh dan mangsa telah bertindak mengekori kereta suspek sebelum lelaki itu memberhentikan kenderaan di tepi jalan dan cuba melarikan diri.

“Mangsa telah mengejar suspek dan terjatuh sehingga mengalami kecederaan di bahagian muka serta tangan. Suspek berjaya melarikan diri dan kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 353 Kanun Keseksaan,“ katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.

Yahaya berkata orang ramai yang mempunyai maklumat mengenai suspek iaitu Mohd Yunuf Mohd Kapli, 40, boleh menghubungi Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Temerloh melalui talian 09-2716222 atau mana-mana balai polis berhampiran.

Sementara itu, beliau berkata menerusi Op Tapis berkenaan yang dijalankan selama tiga hari bermula Isnin di seluruh Pahang, sebanyak 424 individu termasuk 13 wanita berumur antara 19 hingga 60 tahun ditahan kerana terlibat dengan pelbagai kesalahan berkaitan dadah.

Menurutnya, pelbagai jenis dadah turut dirampas dengan anggaran nilai lebih RM37,900 dan jumlah sitaan kenderaan sebanyak RM24,000.

Bagi tempoh Januari hingga Oktober tahun ini pula, Yahaya berkata pihaknya telah menahan 12,042 individu yang terlibat dalam kesalahan berkaitan dadah dengan nilai rampasan yang direkodkan sebanyak RM2.3 juta, manakala nilai sitaan pelbagai barangan berjumlah lebih RM2.4 juta. –Bernama
