Pindaan Akta 50, rapatkan jurang Program Parallel Pathway dan sarjana tempatan

KUALA LUMPUR: Cadangan pindaan Akta Perubatan 1971 (Akta 50) bertujuan menangani jurang antara Program Parallel Pathway (PPP) dan Program Sarjana Perubatan tempatan, kata Menteri Kesihatan Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (gambar).

Dr Dzulkefly berkata Kementerian Kesihatan (KKM) di peringkat akhir pindaan dan berharap usaha ini akan membantu kerajaan dalam memperkasa dan mengawal selia kedua-dua program berkenaan.

“Saya harap apabila semua sudah siap, semua pelatih boleh didaftarkan, bukan sahaja melibatkan mereka yang mengikuti PPP malah turut melibatkan pelatih yang mengikuti Program Ijazah Sarjana tempatan,“ katanya kepada pemberita selepas melawat Hospital Ampang hari ini.

Awal April lepas, Dr Dzulkefly berkata KKM akan mengangkat cadangan kepada Jemaah Menteri untuk menyegerakan pindaan Akta 50 selewat-lewatnya pada Mesyuarat Kedua Penggal Ketiga Parlimen ke-15, pada Jun ini,

Ini bagi memastikan pakar perubatan yang telah menamatkan latihan mereka di bawah PPP akan didaftarkan dan diiktiraf.

Mengenai isu lain, beliau berkata sejak Februari lalu, kementerian merekodkan 10 kes melibatkan kos strok haba dan 32 kes keletihan melampau akibat cuaca yang panas di seluruh negara.

“Bagaimanapun, untuk penyakit berjangkit yang wujud kesan cuaca panas, kementerian belum ada merekodkan sebarang kes tetapi kita akan terus memantau situasi ini,” katanya.
