Polis: Usah tular gambar, video lama kejadian banjir

KUALA NERUS: Polis akan mengambil tindakan tegas terhadap mana-mana pihak yang menyebar semula gambar serta video lama kejadian banjir atau bencana sehingga menimbulkan panik dalam kalangan orang awam.

Ketua Polis Terengganu Datuk Mazli Mazlan (gambar) berkata amaran dikeluarkan kerana penularan gambar serta video lama kejadian bencana sering berlaku ketika banjir sekali gus menyebabkan keresahan orang ramai.

Beliau berkata mana-mana individu yang melakukan kesalahan boleh didakwa mengikut Seksyen 233 Akta Komunikasi dan Multimedia 1998 yang boleh didenda maksimum RM50,000 atau dipenjara setahun atau kedua-duanya sekali.

“Polis tidak akan berkompromi dengan mana-mana pihak yang cuba menggugat ketenteraman awam. Kami mohon orang ramai untuk maklumkan kepada pihak polis untuk diambil tindakan,“ katanya ketika ditemui di Pusat Pemindahan Sementara (PPS) Dewan Serbaguna Tok Jembal di sini hari ini.

Seramai 124 mangsa banjir daripada keluarga 54 keluarga ditempatkan di PPS itu yang dibuka pada 7 pagi tadi.

Mazli turut menasihatkan orang awam supaya mengurangkan aktiviti di luar rumah dan di jalan raya kerana banyak kawasan di sekitar Kuala Nerus dan Kuala Terengganu telah dinaiki air.

Beliau berkata semua ketua polis daerah juga telah diarah meningkatkan pemantauan di kawasan berisiko kerana berlaku beberapa kemalangan motosikal akibat lubang dan kerosakan lampu isyarat.

“Banjir turut menjejaskan sistem lampu isyarat di lapan lokasi sekitar Kuala Terengganu dan Kuala Nerus. Bagaimanapun kita dah tugaskan polis trafik bagi mengawal lalu lintas di lokasi terlibat.

“Ibu bapa juga saya minta tolong kawal pergerakan anak-anak pada musim banjir ini bagi mengelak berlaku kejadian tidak diingini,“ katanya. –Bernama
