Rasuah: Bekas petugas Perkeso didenda RM70,000

SHAH ALAM: Mahkamah Sesyen di sini hari ini menjatuhkan hukuman denda RM70,000 kepada bekas petugas Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (Perkeso) yang mengaku bersalah atas dua pertuduhan menerima wang tunai RM38,000 sebagai balasan meluluskan permohonan program di bawah Pelan Jana Semula Ekonomi Negara 3.0 (Penjana 3.0).

Hakim Datuk Anita Harun menjatuhkan hukuman itu terhadap S. Dhinnesh, 30, dan memerintahkan tertuduh dipenjara dua tahun jika gagal membayar denda.

Mengikut pertuduhan, Dhinnesh sebagai Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pekerjaan Perkeso ketika itu telah menerima wang terbabit daripada pemilik syarikat melalui seorang individu sebagai balasan meluluskan permohonan Program Insentif Pengambilan Pekerja dan Program Latihan di bawah Penjana 3.0 yang mempunyai hubungan dengan tugas rasminya.

Dia didakwa melakukan perbuatan itu di dua restoran masing-masing di Dengkil dan Cyberjaya, Sepang pada 6 dan 15 April 2022 mengikut Seksyen 165 Kanun Keseksaan yang membawa hukuman maksimum penjara dua tahun atau denda, atau kedua-duanya sekali.

Terdahulu, peguam Kathan Maruthamuthu memohon hukuman ringan kerana ia kesalahan pertama Dhinnesh yang kini menyesal dan berjanji tidak akan mengulanginya.

“Tertuduh juga sudah berhenti dari Perkeso pada 1 Sept 2023 dan kini bekerja sebagai pembantu kedai runcit dengan pendapatan RM1,500 sebulan manakala isterinya adalah ejen pelaburan secara sambilan,“ katanya.

Timbalan Pendakwa Raya Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia Muaz Ahmad Khairuddin pula memohon hukuman setimpal sebagai pengajaran kepada tertuduh dan masyarakat serta memohon baki wang rasuah RM20,000 yang dirampas dilucut hak kepada kerajaan. -Bernama
