Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the commitment was expressed during the 26th ASEAN-Republic of Korea Summit today.

“This ASEAN-South Korea dialogue partnership has existed for over 30 years and has now been elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, given the significant scale of ASEAN-South Korea trade relations,” he told reporters after the summit.

Mohamad said ASEAN aims to further enhance bilateral cooperation with South Korea, particularly in technology transfer and artificial intelligence-related areas.

The meeting was co-chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.
