“I promise I’m not joining the bazaar,” – M’sian woman cooking fail leaves netizens in stitches

A viral photo of a pitch-black plate of mee goreng sparks hilarious reactions online, with netizens questioning the ingredients and cooking method.

A Threads user by the name of inuyasyaaaaa_ recently went viral after sharing a photo of an unusually dark and unappetising-looking plate of mee goreng, accompanied by the self-deprecating caption, “Okay, I promise I won’t apply for a bazaar stall this year, don’t worry guys.”

Posted on January 28, the thread has already got over 1000 comments from netizens.

A user named pumpkinc4ndy jokingly expressed their concern, noting that the dish looked “fatal,” while sabnn09 quipped “This is not even well done, this is congratulations.”

bibishareen questioned the ingredients given the extreme colour: “Sis, which soy sauce factory do you own?”

Meanwhile, hawakuno cheekily asked: “Did you fry this using engine oil?”

Beyond the jokes about the charring, many users were genuinely baffled by what the dish was originally intended to be.

The visual state of the meal was so far gone that noordaniel13 asked what on earth the “creature” in the photo was, claiming they could not even make out its shape.

_ain.n wondered: “What is this, sizzling [noodles]?”

A user named qil4yzd admitted: “I had to zoom in just to make sure what it was.
