SHAH ALAM: Management and Science University (MSU) held its 32nd convocation ceremony recently, involving 2,531 graduates from 118 academic programmes, who received their scrolls at MSU’s Chancellor’s Hall.
During the four-session event, 14 graduates received their PhD, 85 their Master’s, 1,495 with Bachelor’s degrees and 937 received their Diplomas.
The Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP) and the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) had the highest number of programmes, totalling 26, while FBMP had the highest number of graduates at 774.

The Doctor of Philosophy (Applied Science) programme at the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) had its first graduating cohort, as did the Bachelor in Education (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) (Hons) at the School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS) together with the Bachelor in Beauty and Hair Management (Hons,) at the School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA).
A total of 347 international students from 18 countries also received their scrolls.
At the same time, 73 graduates received awards from five categories of Best Students which comes with a plaque, cash and scholarship from Yayasan MSU to further their studies.
The prestigious Chancellor Gold Medal Award went to Bachelor in Finance (Hons) from FBMP, Mikail Mazleen who also gave the valedictorian speech at the convocation.
The President Award winners were Nurul Atiqah Mohamad Zamri, who graduated with a Master in Management from the Graduate School of Management (GSM), Jihan Balqish Ruzelan, Bachelor in Patisserie Arts (Hons) of SHCA, Sakti Adzie Prawira, Bachelor in International Business (Hons) of FBMP as well as Queenie Monny Marcelle, Diploma in Pharmacy from the School of Pharmacy.
The Mohd Shukri Yajid Outstanding Award went to Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons) student Nabeela Husna Mujib Ahmad from the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP).
A total of 33 graduates received the Academic Award, while 34 were recipients of the Industry Award.

Those in attendance at the convocation ceremony were MSU Chancellor, the Regent of Kedah Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Sultan Sallehuddin, MSU Founder and Vice-Chancellor Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, who delivered the presidential address, and MSU vice-chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Junainah Abd Hamid.
