Thai rapper’s new single Uncomfortable Silence turns industry glamour into a surreal nightmare
Building on the momentum of his previous single, Thai hip hop artist has released Uncomfortable Situations, the second release from his upcoming EP The Era, which demonstrates a darker, more cinematic shift in tone.
Essentially a showcase of his versatility as an artiste, Uncomfortable Situations captures the tension and artifice of navigating the music industry. The single will be one part of the five-track The Era, which will explore different facets of Rejizz’s life.
Set within the world of a high-end industry party, Uncomfortable Situations begins with a sense of surface-level glamour, before gradually revealing something far more unsettling beneath.
As Rejizz moves through the night, the illusion begins to fracture while guests begin to expose their true forms as aliens and monsters, serving as a metaphor for the pressure, artificiality and performative nature of the industry.
Prior to Uncomfortable Situations, Rejizz released Long Disco Relationship, with both being part of The Era, which is set for a July 15 release.
Cinematic evolution
Each track on The Era exists within its own distinct sonic and emotional universe, and here, Rejizz leans into cinematic storytelling to reflect a moment of disillusionment and awareness.
The single plays a key role in the project’s wider arc, moving from uncertainty and external pressures toward a clearer sense of self and direction.
