Victoria Beckham was honoured in Paris with a French arts award, as she attended with husband David and children following a public rift with son Brooklyn.
PARIS: Victoria Beckham was honoured in Paris on Monday, receiving a prestigious French cultural award.
The former Spice Girl was named an Officer of the Order of the Arts and Letters at a ceremony at the French culture ministry.
She attended with husband David and their children, except for eldest son Brooklyn.
The event was kept discreet to avoid media attention following Brooklyn’s recent explosive social media claims against his parents.
French Culture Minister Rachida Dati praised Beckham as “a global icon that holds a very special place in the hearts of French people”.
Dati highlighted Beckham’s “meticulous, almost architectural” approach to clothing design.
“Through your journey, your work, and your commitment, you have woven a deep, sincere, and lasting bond with France,” the minister told the 51-year-old designer.
Beckham has been presenting her fashion label’s collections in Paris since 2022.
The ceremony was attended by David Beckham and the couple’s other children, who were seen applauding.
French fashion executives Antoine Arnault and Francois-Henri Pinault were also present.
The honour comes after Brooklyn Beckham claimed last week his parents tried to “ruin” his marriage.
He alleged Victoria “hijacked” his first dance and danced “inappropriately on me” at his wedding.
The Order of the Arts and Letters recognises contributions to French cultural life.
It is separate from the more prestigious Legion of Honour, France’s top state award.
President Emmanuel Macron awarded that honour to Louis Vuitton designer Pharrell Williams last Friday.
David Beckham received a knighthood from King Charles III in November, calling it his “proudest moment”.
