Rina Harun on working visit to Japan, South Korea

KUALA LUMPUR: Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun (pix) is currently on a eight-day working visit to Japan and South Korea from yesterday to foster strategic collaborations between both countries in various fields.

According to a statement from the ministry’s Corporate Communications Unit issued today, among the focus areas which will be discussed on include pre-school studies, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as well as sustainable rural development, in line with the Rural Development Policy 2030 and the Shared Prosperity Vision 2021-2030.

Rina who is in Japan for five days is scheduled to have an engagement session with students under the Malaysia Japan Higher Education Programme, which is sponsored by the Mara Education Foundation.

In Osaka, she is scheduled to visit the Ochanomizu University Child Care Centre and the Syusei Tech College while in Kyoto, she will visit Sato No Eki Oohara.

Rina will also pay a courtesy visit to Japan’s Minister of Regional Revitalization, Seigo Kitamura.

Beginning Oct 4, Rina will begin her visit to South Korea where among others, she will visit the Hanyang University and Ehwa Woman’s University as well as have an engagement session with Mara-sponsored students in Seoul. — Bernama
