THE new Citroen e-Jumpy, Peugeot e-Expert and Opel Vivaro-e shared the International Van Of The Year 2021 award, a month ago.
As for Citroen’s e-Jumpy, the company stated that its contemporary styling, onboard comfort, dynamic qualities and loading capacity combined with the benefits of the best electrical technology, convinced a panel of 25 independent journalists and magazine editors representing 25 magazines specialised in Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs).
“The award, voted by members of the I-VOTY panel, highlights the relevance of this offer focused on energy transition and adapted to professional uses.”
This is the sixth time in the history of the highly-coveted prize that Citroen has been honoured.
Citroen CEO Vincent Cobee said: “All of Citroen’s teams are incredibly proud of the ‘International Van of The Year 2021’ granted to the e-Jumpy. The electric version of Jumpy provides professionals with practical solutions to new mobility challenges in urban and rural areas thanks to its driving range that allows most journeys in unprecedented comfort while keeping all the useful features of its combustion counterpart.
“The new e-Jumpy is faithful to Citroen’s strategy of designing tailor-made solutions that meet the expectations of our commercial customers. Our ambition consists in being innovative in our products and services making their life easier and bringing them well-being.
“This prize awarded by a jury of experts, will help us to achieve the commercial goals we have for this model.”
The company added that “once again, Citroen has demonstrated its expertise when it comes to commercial vehicles along with its desire to provide practical solutions to its customers.
“In this period of energy transition, the e-Jumpy has proved itself to be an indispensable work tool for professionals, local authorities and associations.
“It combines the best of Jumpy's tried and tested features with all the benefits of an electric motor resulting in greater convenience, comfort, freedom of movement and reduced running costs.”

For Peugeot, the prize rewarded “the commitment of the Peugeot teams to a project at the heart of the brand's electrification strategy”.
The e-Expert is the sixth Peugeot vehicle to be awarded the prestigious International Van of The Year trophy since its creation in 1992 – in 1994, it was the Peugeot Boxer, the Partner in 1997, the Expert in 2008, the Bipper in 2009 and the Partner again in 2019.
Peugeot stated that the new e-Expert is comfortable in all situations and can be adapted to suit all trades with a workspace that makes daily life easier, latest-generation on-board technologies and an assertive style.
“Allowing unrestricted access to city centres, the new Peugeot e-Expert is creating a new offer in the compact van segment with a 100% electric engine.”
