Jenazah Allahyarham Megat Ashman aqif dikebumi di Christchurch esok

IPOH: Jenazah Allahyarham Megat Ashman Aqif Megat Irman Jefni yang maut dalam nahas jalan raya di Tasik Tekapo, New Zealand, Sabtu lalu, akan dikebumikan di Tanah Perkuburan Islam di Bromley, Christchurch petang esok.

Nenek Allahyarham, Nor Hanita Meor Mohd Nor, 62, yang mengesahkan perkara itu pada masa sama berkata ibu Allahyarham, Noor Aishah Abdul Latif, 49, berlepas ke negara itu petang ini menerusi penerbangan Singapore Airlines dari Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA).

Menurut Nor Hanita, Noor Aishah berlepas ke negara itu ditemani adik Allahyarham iaitu Megat Rayyan Dashrin, 18.

“Kalau ikutkan kami family yang lain reda dengan pemergiannya dan dikebumi di sana. Masa dia (ayah Allahyarham Megat Irman Jefni Megat Khashusaini, 49) nak pergi pun (ke New Zealand) saya dah cakap dengan dia lebih baik dikebumikan di sana.

“Lagipun pada mulanya ibunya tidak pergi (ke New Zealand), tetapi kebetulan pula ibunya dapat pergi dengan adik bongsu arwah pada petang ini, insya-Allah akan sampai di sana pada pukul 10 pagi esok,” katanya ketika dihubungi Bernama, hari ini.

Sementara itu, Nor Hanita memaklumkan solat jenazah ghaib akan diadakan selepas solat Zuhur di Masjid Sultan Yussuf, Rapat Setia di sini, esok.

Sebelum ini, Datuk Allahyarham, Megat Khashusaini Megat Abd. Rahman, 85, berkata Megat Irman Jefni ada memaklumkan hasratnya membawa pulang jenazah anaknya untuk dikebumikan di Perak namun keputusan itu belum muktamad.

Selain Megat Ashman Aqif, seorang lagi pelajar Malaysia, Wan Nur Adlina Alisa dari University of Canterbury turut terkorban dalam kemalangan yang berlaku pada jam 1.45 petang waktu tempatan.

Tiga lagi pelajar cedera dalam nahas sama iaitu Nur Firas Wafiyyah dan Lya Issable Anak Walton dari universiti sama serta Muhamad Faris Mohd Fairusham dari Victoria University of Wellington. –Bernama
