KPKT confirms Ampar Tenang PPR housing units in Dengkil will be allocated through transparent manual ballot during offer letter ceremony.
PUTRAJAYA: The selection of housing units for the Ampar Tenang People’s Housing Project in Dengkil will be conducted through an open manual ballot system.
The Ministry of Housing and Local Government stated that each participant will publicly draw their unit number during the letter-of-offer handover ceremony.
This transparent process will be witnessed by all attendees to ensure fairness.
“The drawing method is used across all PPR projects under the National Housing Department,” the ministry confirmed.
KPKT emphasised that allegations of bias or special access to corner lots do not arise under this system.
The ministry stressed its commitment to conducting participant selection with transparency, fairness and integrity.
Ampar Tenang PPR was developed to relocate residents from the Taman Permata low-cost housing area.
Built on 30 acres of land contributed by the Selangor government, the project has been fully completed.
The RM88 million development cost was fully funded by the Federal Government.
Units offered are single-storey low-cost terrace houses priced at RM20,000 each.
This pricing follows a government decision made on October 12, 2016.
The first phase of relocation involving 161 participants was completed on October 6.
KPKT remains committed to improving living standards through quality housing provision.
This aligns with the Malaysia MADANI vision of keeping people at the centre of national development. – Bernama
