iCAUR V23 CKD launched in Malaysia, same iWD specs, priced at RM 133,000

iCAUR Malaysia has launched the locally assembled (CKD) version of the iCAUR V23, with the electric SUV retaining the same specifications as the fully imported CBU model.

The iCAUR V23 CKD is priced at RM 132,780 (RM 200 less than CBU), with units expected to arrive at authorised dealer showrooms by the end of July 2026. Production of the CKD V23 officially commenced in July.

For now, the locally assembled V23 is offered in iWD form, which means it gets a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. Total system output is rated at 211 PS and 292 Nm, allowing the V23 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. Top speed is rated at 140 km/h.

Power comes from an 81.76 kWh NMC battery, which provides a claimed range of 430 km on the NEDC cycle. DC fast charging supports up to 104 kW, allowing the battery to be charged from 20 to 80% in 42 minutes. AC charging is rated at 6.6 kW, while vehicle-to-load (V2L) output is rated at 3.3 kW.

The V23 measures 4,220 mm long, 1,915 mm wide and 1,845 mm tall, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase. Despite its rugged retro 4×4-inspired design, it uses a unibody construction, with MacPherson struts at the front and a multilink suspension setup at the rear.

The CKD version retains the same Boxy Retro Classic design as before, combining a squared-off body with full LED lighting, manual folding side mirrors, a side-opening tailgate and the rear-mounted storage “backpack”. The iWD model also continues with 21-inch alloy wheels.

Speaking of the side mirrors, they appear to be wider than those on earlier CBU units, which should improve rearward visibility.

Inside, the V23 gets a 15.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, but no dedicated instrument cluster. Vehicle information is displayed through the central screen. Other interior features include chunky physical controls for the single-zone air-conditioning system, a rotary drive mode selector and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The iWD variant also gets an off-road drive mode, six-way powered driver’s seat, four-way powered front passenger seat, front seat ventilation, faux leather upholstery, double-glazed front windows, PM 2.5 air purification, a 360-degree camera with transparent view and dashcam function, and a seven-speaker sound system.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control and a suite of driver assistance systems.
