Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim meets Sheikh Dr Mustafa An-Nadwi, emphasising moral values and wisdom in Islamic scholarship.
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today welcomed a visit by renowned Egyptian scholar Sheikh Dr Mustafa An-Nadwi Al-Hasani Mansurah at his Putrajaya office.
In a Facebook post, Anwar described Sheikh Dr Mustafa, a scholar from Mansurah, as an authority who placed emphasis on moral values, wisdom and depth of knowledge, especially in hadith studies.
He said Sheikh Dr Mustafa, one of the distinguished students of world-renowned Islamic scholar and preacher Sheikh Abul Hasan Ali al-Nadwi, represented the importance of upholding knowledge and wisdom in an era where sensationalism often overshadows learning.
“In an era where sensationalism often takes precedence over knowledge, figures like Sheikh Dr Mustafa offer us an example, reminding us that knowledge and wisdom arrive like the morning dew, quiet, gentle, yet capable of bringing life.
“We also exchanged views on current affairs and Sheikh Dr Mustafa’s knowledge sessions during his visit to Malaysia this week,” he said.
Anwar also thanked Sheikh Dr Mustafa for his advice and prayers for Malaysia’s continued unity and blessed prosperity.
He also prayed for Sheikh Dr Mustafa’s continued well-being, blessings on his knowledge and work, and his ability to continue guiding the community with wisdom, moderation and compassion.
