Malaysia and Ukraine discuss potential collaboration in road infrastructure, construction services and knowledge sharing to support Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts.
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia and Ukraine are exploring potential cooperation in road infrastructure development, construction and professional services.
The discussions were held between Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi and Ukraine’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr Nadolenko Hennadii.
Nanta said the meeting would strengthen institutional ties and promote strategic collaboration between both countries.
“Both sides also exchanged views on cooperation opportunities, particularly in knowledge sharing and capacity building, in support of Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts,” he said in a post on X.
He added that Malaysia’s construction sector reforms under the National Construction Policy 2030 were also highlighted.
The policy focuses on quality, sustainability, digitalisation, productivity and good governance.
Nanta said the Works Ministry remains committed to promoting constructive international cooperation to support sustainable development and long-term partnerships.
