A civil servant was arrested in Tampin for allegedly taking upskirt photos of a woman while she was shopping, with police securing a three-day remand for investigations.
TAMPIN: Police have arrested a civil servant on suspicion of taking upskirt photographs of a woman at a shopping mall.
Tampin district police chief Superintendent Amiruddien Sariman said a report was received from the 34-year-old victim at 3.46 pm yesterday.
The victim claimed she was followed by a man before the photos were taken while she was shopping.
Acting on information, a police team arrested the 26-year-old suspect in the Kampung Baru Tampin area.
The suspect has been remanded for three days from today to facilitate investigations.
The case is being investigated under Sections 507A and 509 of the Penal Code.
