A motorcyclist died after being crushed under a Perodua Bezza on the Lundu-Bau Pan Borneo Highway in Sarawak early this morning
KUCHING: A motorcyclist died after being crushed under a car on the Lundu-Bau Pan Borneo Highway this morning.
The fatal collision occurred in Kampung Stenggang Bau along Jalan Pan Borneo Lundu-Bau.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Operations Centre received an emergency call at 5.10 am regarding the incident.
Firefighters from the Bau station were immediately dispatched to the location.
Upon arrival, they discovered an accident involving a Perodua Bezza and a motorcycle.
An adult male victim was found trapped beneath the car.
Rescue personnel used air lifting bag equipment to raise the vehicle and extract the victim.
A medical officer from the Ministry of Health confirmed the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
The victim was subsequently handed over to police for further procedures.
