KUALA LUMPUR: The investigation paper into an alleged police assault during an arrest has been submitted to the Selangor State Prosecutor’s Office.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk M. Kumar confirmed the submission for further instructions.

He stated the incident, captured on CCTV, had recently gone viral online.

A police report was lodged on November 18, 2025, by a woman alleging her son was beaten during the arrest.

The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

Kumar stressed the Royal Malaysia Police is committed to transparency and integrity in investigations.

He said the force would not compromise with any form of misconduct.

Bernama previously reported police were investigating a man’s claim he was beaten by individuals believed to be officers.

The alleged incident occurred at a house in Kampung Sungai Ingat, Banting, last month.

The individuals in the recording introduced themselves as police officers.

According to the report, the complainant’s son was slapped several times during a search for evidence.
