Johor foundation funds knee surgeries for 12 patients in need

Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor and Yayasan Sena provide RM300,000 for total knee replacement surgeries at Segamat hospital.

JOHOR BAHRU: Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ) and Yayasan Sena have donated RM300,000 to fund total knee replacement surgeries for those in need.

The funding will benefit 12 selected patients, according to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s official Facebook page.

All surgeries will be conducted at Sena Specialist Hospital in Segamat using its medical expertise and modern facilities.

A replica cheque was presented by representatives from both foundations to the hospital group’s chief executive officer, Michelle Tan.

The handover coincided with the official opening of the new Sena Specialist Hospital in Segamat yesterday.

YSIJ chief executive officer Mohd Anizam Jamian described the partnership as a positive start for expanding healthcare support.

“We hope initiatives like this can continue and serve as a catalyst for more collaborations with other foundations and corporate partners in the future,” he said.
