Sultan Ibrahim receives Minister Noraini Ahmad, discusses ministry’s strategic plans and emphasises integrity and good governance.
KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, granted an audience to the new Minister of Plantation and Commodities, Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad.
The meeting took place at Istana Bukit Tunku, according to a post on the Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar Facebook page.
Noraini, appointed to the post on December 16, briefed His Majesty on the ministry’s plans and strategic direction.
The ministry’s Secretary-General, Datuk Yusran Shah Mohd Yusof, was also present at the audience.
His Majesty shared his views and advice during the meeting.
He emphasised that all plans should be implemented with integrity and grounded in good governance.
The King also stressed the importance of prioritising the interests of the people.
Noraini is the Member of Parliament for Parit Sulong.
She was appointed Plantation and Commodities Minister following a cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on December 16.
The reshuffle involved 28 ministers and deputy ministers.
