MADANI govt redirected nation’s course restored public confidence in 3 years – Zahid

Deputy PM Ahmad Zahid says the MADANI Government restored stability and focused on inclusive development, bridging urban-rural gaps with RM7.7 billion.

KUALA LUMPUR: The three-year administration of the MADANI Government has successfully reset the nation’s course and restored public confidence.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the government was formed during a period of political and economic uncertainty.

He stated its focus has been on a more inclusive, long-term development agenda centred on people’s well-being.

Ahmad Zahid, also Rural and Regional Development Minister, said his ministry’s priority is uplifting rural development as a main growth driver.

“KKDW has restructured the rural development ecosystem with a more strategic, integrated, and impactful approach,” he said via a Facebook post.

Over RM7.7 billion has been mobilised over three years to bridge the urban-rural development gap.

He highlighted that Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) employability rose to 95.1%.

Student enrollment in TVET programmes surged to 212,022.

The Community Development Department’s Pre-Tahfiz Programme has produced 52,000 young huffaz.

MARA TVET and Technopreneur TVET have produced more than 800,000 skilled students.

Ahmad Zahid also noted 420 Orang Asli students are now entering university.

He said the rural economy has shown encouraging growth through agencies like MARA, RISDA, and FELCRA.

These agencies generated 7,000 new entrepreneurs and created 15,000 job opportunities.

Their combined sales value exceeded RM1.77 billion.

Malaysia strengthened its global halal position via MIHAS@Shanghai 2025, recording transactions exceeding RM3.2 billion.

On disaster preparedness, the Irrigation and Drainage Department now operates 1,798 telemetry hydrological stations.

It also uses 197 monitoring cameras and 36 flood forecasting models.

A total of 614 early flood warning sirens have been installed in high-risk areas.

The government is empowering the National Disaster Risk Reduction Policy 2030 with a National Action Plan.

Ahmad Zahid concluded that political stability is a prerequisite for progress.

He extended his highest appreciation to all employees, civil servants, and the people of Malaysia.

“Insya-Allah, we will continue to shoulder this responsibility with full commitment,” he said. – Bernama
