The triumph of SJKT Ladang Kinrara at a world STEM competition proves Malaysian students can compete and excel internationally, showcasing high discipline and innovation.
KUALA LUMPUR: The recent international success of students from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Ladang Kinrara demonstrates the high competitiveness of Malaysian youth on the global stage.
Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said the school’s achievement at the World Youth STEM Invention and Innovation 2026 in Bangkok is a point of national pride.
The team secured a Gold Award, a Panel Choice Award, and a top-five finish in the ‘Environmental and Sustainability’ category.
“This success not only demonstrates exceptional capabilities in STEM but also reflects a high level of discipline, perseverance and competitiveness,” Ramanan stated in a Facebook post.
He emphasised that competing internationally requires thorough preparation, courage and strong self-confidence.
The minister praised the students Aarthisha Thiban, Aatheesha Moorthy, Keshwine Elattachan, Arvin Kumar and Puraarni Vivegan for bringing honour to the nation.
“I will invite these amazing children to meet soon because I personally want to hear their success stories,” he added.
Ramanan, who is Sungai Buloh MP, said the victory stems from the strong support of teachers and parents.
He stated this achievement is proof of the government’s successful investment in education and STEM development.
“May this success serve as a catalyst to continue creating more innovations that benefit society and the nation,” he said.
The minister added it aligns with the aspiration to produce a knowledgeable, skilled and highly creative generation.
