Embassy warns citizens in Doha to stay clear of US Embassy amid security threat; remain vigilant and seek shelter
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Embassy in Doha has issued an urgent advisory for its citizens following a security threat.
It urges all Malaysians residing within a 1.5-kilometre radius of the United States Embassy in Al Rayyan, Doha, to seek shelter elsewhere.
The notice was posted on the embassy’s official Facebook page.
It stated the embassy was recently informed of a potential attack risk targeting the US diplomatic mission.
While the current situation in Qatar is described as fairly calm, all Malaysians in the country are advised to remain vigilant.

This advisory aligns with actions taken by Qatari authorities.
The US Embassy in Qatar confirmed that the Qatar Ministry of Interior is evacuating residents near its compound as a temporary precautionary measure.
In a post on X, the US mission advised the public to avoid the immediate area around its embassy out of an abundance of caution.
