Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd mobilises 25 water trucks and repair teams to meet a projected festive demand surge of 584 million litres per day.

KOTA BHARU: Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB) has deployed 11 tanker trucks and 14 contract water trucks as part of a comprehensive preparedness plan for the Aidilfitri festive season.

The initiative aims to supply clean water to areas affected by any disruption and ensure stable distribution across all districts.

Current water production from all treatment plants stands at 531 million litres per day (MLD), while projected festive demand is expected to rise to 584 MLD.

The peak usage period is anticipated between March 20 and 23, according to an AKSB statement.

A total of 43 Water Treatment Plants (LRA) are currently operating statewide, supplying water to 269,338 consumer accounts.

To further strengthen response efforts, AKSB has mobilised 14 pipe leak repair teams and 12 contractor repair teams.

A central operations team led by district managers will also coordinate the festive period preparations.

The utility company announced that its complaint hotline, PINTAS (15777), will operate from 8 am to 10 pm between March 19 and 23.

This extended service is to handle public inquiries and reports related to water supply.

The overall initiative is designed to minimise disruptions for residents throughout the festive season.
