Malaysia Airlines to resume Jeddah, Madinah flights from March 4

Malaysia Airlines will temporarily resume flights to Jeddah and Madinah from March 4-8, 2026, while services to Doha remain suspended until March 7.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines will temporarily resume services to and from Jeddah and Madinah from March 4 to 8, 2026.

The national carrier had suspended flights to these destinations from February 28 due to airspace closures in parts of the Middle East.

Services to Doha, however, will remain suspended until at least March 7 as the airline continues to assess the security situation, according to a statement from parent company Malaysia Aviation Group.

All other flights, including services to London and Paris, remain on schedule and are operating on alternative routings well clear of the affected conflict zone.

Affected passengers are being notified and assisted with alternative travel arrangements where required.

“The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew are our highest priorities,” said the group.

As flights resume, Malaysia Airlines is implementing proactive measures including the use of alternative flight paths and maintaining close coordination with aviation authorities.

The airline is also strengthening in-flight safety procedures and keeping passengers informed with timely updates.

Passengers are advised to update their contact details via ‘My Booking’ on the airline’s website for the latest information.

Assistance is available via Live Chat on the website or by contacting the Malaysia Airlines Global Contact Centre.

“Malaysia Airlines will continue to closely monitor developments and will take all necessary measures to ensure safe and reliable operations,” stated MAG.
