MPC to boost feedback and problem-driven solutions for red tape reform

MPC will enhance public and industry feedback mechanisms and prioritise problem-driven solutions to strengthen bureaucratic red tape reform in 2025

PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) will implement two key improvement measures next year to strengthen the Bureaucratic Red Tape Reform (RKB).

MPC director-general Datuk Zahid Ismail said the first measure involves enhancing public and industry feedback mechanisms.

He stated that feedback from the public and businesses will serve as the main reference in formulating more effective solutions.

“This new approach will be more focused,” Zahid told Bernama after speaking as a panellist at the Bureaucratic Red Tape Forum.

He said MPC will work closely with industry associations through engagements with specific sectors to identify actual ‘pain points’.

The second measure is prioritising problem-driven solutions over a purely technology-driven model.

Zahid added that proof-of-concept initiatives will be carried out to evaluate technology solutions before wider rollout.

This ensures issues are resolved more systematically, he explained.

He said the RKB has recorded exponential growth over the past two years, with more than 1,000 projects implemented to date.

“Despite these encouraging achievements, we cannot be in a comfort zone,” Zahid stated.

He emphasised that the principle of islah, or continuous improvement, must continue.

The forum was held in conjunction with the National Public Service Reform Convention 2025 under the Rancakkan MADANI programme.

The three-day Rancakkan MADANI programme offers more than 300 touchpoint services, a career fair and interactive exhibitions.

Organised by the Prime Minister’s Office through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit, it targets around 300,000 visitors.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the closing ceremony tomorrow.

Rancakkan MADANI is a continuation of the government’s annual platform to report its achievements directly to the people. – Bernama
