Malaysia Rail Link assures the public it prioritises safety and quality while completing the East Coast Rail Link project as scheduled.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL) is committed to completing the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project according to the set schedule by prioritising safety, quality and public interest.

MRL in a statement today took note of media reports regarding public concerns following reports from residents of Taman Mutiara Gombak 2 regarding the safety of the construction of the Eastern Rail Link (ECRL) near their residential areas.

“MRL views every complaint and concern raised by the public seriously. Safety is always a priority in the implementation of the ECRL project,” the statement said.

In this regard, MRL informed that the matter is currently going through the legal process in court and the company will not comment further to respect the judicial process.

“The construction work of the ECRL continues in accordance with the approvals, technical specifications, regulatory requirements and safety standards set by the relevant authorities,” the statement said.

MRL assured that it will provide full cooperation to the court and all relevant authorities.
