Selangor authorities will not compromise on LGBT culture promotion, urging police to investigate the upcoming Glamping with Pride programme.
SHAH ALAM: The Selangor State Government has urged authorities to investigate the organisation of the Glamping with Pride programme scheduled for next week.
State Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Committee chairman Mohd Najwan Halimi (pic) said the state government would not compromise on any attempts to spread lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) culture.
“The state government will not compromise on any efforts to spread and promote deviant culture and values that are contrary to societal norms,” he said in a statement.
He confirmed he had contacted the police to request an investigation and appropriate action.
His comments addressed a group’s decision to proceed with the programme despite objections from various quarters.
