Perlis expects new Chinese investment in nuclear-based green energy technology, with potential development in Chuping Valley Industrial Area.
KANGAR: The state is anticipating new investment in nuclear-based green energy technology following interest from a Chinese company.
Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli confirmed the company expressed investment interest during recent meetings with state officials and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority in China.
The working visit to China left a positive impression of the technology’s capabilities, with the state government hoping for swift finalisation of negotiations.
“They will come to Perlis after this to present their proposal for investment,” he told reporters after chairing the state executive council meeting at Kompleks Seri Putra.
He noted the technology shows strong potential for development in Perlis, particularly within the Chuping Valley Industrial Area. – Bernama
