Sultan Ibrahim stresses policy consistency for stable bilateral ties

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, also praised Saudi Vision 2030, which is an effort to develop the Holy Land to a better level through economic diversification, citizen empowerment, and the provision of a vibrant environment for investors.

RIYADH: Consistent government policy implementation brings stability to bilateral relations and provides confidence to attract investment, said His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.

His Majesty shared this view during his meeting with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace today.

“The discussion took place in a warm atmosphere and touched on various matters of mutual interest to both nations,” Sultan Ibrahim told the Royal Press Office.

“This is our first meeting, and Prince Mohammed is very knowledgeable about the various matters that were discussed.”

His Majesty also praised Saudi Vision 2030’s efforts to develop the Holy Land through economic diversification and citizen empowerment.

The vision provides a vibrant environment for investors, noted the King.

Sultan Ibrahim received a state welcome at Al-Yamamah Palace during his four-day state visit to Saudi Arabia.

Accompanying His Majesty are Tunku Temenggong Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj and Tunku Panglima Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin is also part of the delegation.

This marks the first state visit by a Yang di-Pertuan Agong to Saudi Arabia since the late Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah’s visit in 1984.

The visit reflects both countries’ commitment to strengthen bilateral relations across multiple fields.

Cooperation areas include economy, geopolitics, defence, and Islamic affairs.

Malaysia and Saudi Arabia have conducted 12 high-profile visits in the first 10 months of this year.

Saudi Arabia ranks as Malaysia’s 14th largest trading partner with total trade valued at RM44.74 billion.

This state visit is Sultan Ibrahim’s fifth after previous visits to Singapore, China, Brunei, and Russia. – Bernama
