Traffic flow on key Malaysian highways remains under control despite rising vehicle volumes ahead of Chinese New Year and Ramadan, with some slow-moving stretches reported.
KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic flow on several major highways remains under control despite increasing vehicle volumes. The situation was reported by the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) as of 6.30 pm today, ahead of the Chinese New Year holidays.
A spokesperson said traffic was manageable on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway, East Coast Expressway 1 and 2, and the North-South Expressway E2 heading towards Johor. She noted increased traffic from Gombak to Genting Sempah and on entry routes into the capital.

“Slow-moving traffic has been reported from the Menora Tunnel to the Sungai Perak Rest and Service Area, from Bandar Baharu to Jawi, and from Permatang Pauh to the Sungai Dua Toll Plaza,” she said when contacted.
