The ELA service for the East Coast will operate from KL Sentral to Tumpat on March 18 and from Tumpat to KL Sentral on March 22.

It provides 792 tickets, also featuring sleeper coach options.

Both services will stop at 17 stations along the East Coast route.

For the Northern region, the ELA service will run on the KL Sentral–Padang Besar route.

Services are scheduled for March 17 and 22 from KL Sentral, with return trips on March 18 and 23.

This route offers 1,200 Superior Class seats at a one-way fare of RM70.

The train will stop at 12 stations including Ipoh, Taiping, and Alor Setar.

Fares for the East Coast services start from RM80 for Superior Class seating.

Sleeper berths are priced at RM90 for an upper berth and RM95 for a lower berth.

Premier Class seating is available for RM95.

The services feature superior sleeper coaches with 120 berths per journey, alongside Premier and Superior Class seating.

KTMB Group chief executive officer Datuk Azlan Shah Al Bakri said the special trains support national mobility during the festive season.

“By encouraging the public to use rail transport, we can help reduce road congestion and ensure a more efficient and safer ‘balik kampung’ experience,” he said.

Tickets can be purchased via cashless methods through the KTMB Mobile (KITS) app, kiosks, ticket counters, and the official website.

The public can also contact the KTMB Call Centre at 03-97791200 for enquiries.
