SYDNEY: A married couple killed in the Bondi Beach mass shooting have been hailed for their bravery after dashcam footage emerged.

The video shows retired mechanic Boris Gurman, 69, wrestling with gunman Sajid Akram at the start of the attack last Sunday.

Akram reportedly retrieved another gun and shot the couple dead during the Hanukkah festival attack that killed 15 people.

The Gurman family expressed overwhelming pride in their bravery and selflessness in a statement.
