Meta CEO Zuckerberg developing AI agent to manage company

Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly building an AI assistant to help run Meta, with employees already using personal AI tools for tasks and communication

MOSCOW: Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg is developing an artificial intelligence agent to assist him in managing the company, according to a report.

The Wall Street Journal cited people familiar with the matter, stating the agent is still under development. It currently helps Zuckerberg obtain information more quickly by providing answers directly without needing to contact multiple people.

Meta employees have also started using personal AI agents such as ‘My Claw’. These tools can quickly look through a user’s message history and files.

The agents can also reportedly communicate on behalf of users with their colleagues or with other AI agents.

Another internal AI tool called ‘Second Brain’ combines chatbot and agent functions. It was built by a Meta employee based on the Anthropic Claude AI model and can index documents and search for information within them.

On December 29, Meta acquired Singapore-based artificial intelligence start-up Manus, which develops personal agents capable of performing user tasks. This tool is also being used within the company.
