IPOH, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- Perak FC took the first step in strengthening the team to face the Malaysian League (M-League) competition next season when they secured the services of former Negeri Sembilan FC left back Tommy Mawat Bada.
Coach Yusri Che Lah of The Boss Gaurus said the experience factor coupled with the ability to play in several defensive positions was why the former national under-23 player is his choice.
“He is the player I want. Tommy is one of the most versatile players because he can play either as left back or in central defence to strengthen the team’s backline.
“From a technical point of view, he has sharp skills and meets my criteria in team strategy,” he told Bernama today.
Earlier, on Perak FC’s Facebook page today, the 28-year-old Sarawakian was confirmed as a player of The Bos Gaurus squad for the 2024 M-League campaign.
Yusri, a former coach for Perlis, said Perak FC would continue their search for new players and would work within the team’s budget.
